Dr. Bradley Ruben is board certified in Pain Management, Critical Care Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. An experienced practitioner, teacher and medical writer, he is a Diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology and is also certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice.

Dr Ruben completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Charleston in West Virginia and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed an internship at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, a residency program in anesthesiology and fellowship programs in cardiovascular anesthesia and critical care medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

Dr. Ruben began practicing medicine in the state of Florida in 1972 as a Naval Flight Surgeon at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, then with an F-4 Squadron of military jets in Key West. He also served as Senior Medical Officer on the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal.

Dr. Ruben opened his medical practice in Citrus County in 1995. He is a member of the Active Medical Staff of both Citrus Memorial Hospital and Seven Rivers Regional Healthcare Center. He has authored numerous articles on Critical Care medicine for medical publications and has served on committees of medical societies at both the state and national level.
